Private Client Assistant

Chrismas Ogden Solicitors are currently looking  for an experienced Private Client Assistant to join us on a  full/part time basis and work alongside our current Private Client Consultant Solicitor at our friendly office in Lewes, East Sussex.

You must be experienced in the preparation/drafting of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration including completion of IHT forms.

The role will include: 

  • The preparation of Wills – including drafting Wills and overseeing the execution process.
  • The preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Assisting the Private Client solicitor with their caseload including typing, preparation of Inheritance Tax forms, preparation of Estate Accounts, meeting with clients
  • General office administration will also be required such as telephone answering/reception duties, banking and post.

This role would suit people who have: 

  • previous experience of drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • an understanding of Estate Administration including preparation of IHT forms
  • the ability to work well as part of a small bespoke team.
  • a high level of attention to detail
  • the ability to prioritise and manage your workload.
  • previous client care/reception experience

The ideal candidate will be experienced and knowledgeable in all the above areas but does not need to have a formal qualification.

Salary 

Dependent on experience and hours worked

Hours

Our office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.  Full and part time roles will be considered, subject to a minimum of 20 hours per week
