The Firm

Our award-winning law firm, led by Cate Searle, described by the Legal 500 as a “switched-on and diligent practice head”, is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our Community Care Law team.

In 2016, we won the Law Society Excellence Award in Business Development for our innovative Services for Professional Deputies. We provide case work support in Community Care and Public Law matters to Professional Deputies & Attorneys, Private Client and Personal Injury solicitors across England and Wales.

We specialise in Court of Protection litigation, safeguarding adults at risk, mental capacity and Best Interest decision-making, health and social care funding and commissioning and public law challenges of inadequate health and social care packages.

Our firm’s reputation is based on providing specialist Community Care Law services and we pride ourselves on the expertise and excellent client care provided by all of our lawyers.

The role

This is a senior appointment which requires an expert lawyer with relevant experience in health and social care law who is also a leader in their field.

Skills set
You will be a self-motivated, ambitious and experienced senior lawyer who has handled cases in most of our practice areas, specifically well-versed in understanding the needs of our client base, involving working with vulnerable people on complex issues. Your background will include conducting your own advocacy in the Court of Protection and /or applying public law principles to privately funded case work, including challenging public law decisions by Judicial Review.

You will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and will have demonstrable experience of supervising colleagues and providing external training courses.
