PA and Administrative/Legal Assistant

Palmer Biggs IP is looking to recruit a dynamic and proactive individual to join their team, to provide PA support, as well as administrative and office management support. There is also the potential opportunity to get involved in exciting legal projects including research projects and junior paralegal work. The successful candidate will have excellent written English, as well as being articulate and numerate. They will also require a strong foundation in Microsoft Office applications and IT generally.

Working alongside the Management, this is a broad role offering plenty of variety. Predominantly, responsibilities would include:

• PA support including diary management, making travel arrangements, general organisational and secretarial support. Candidates should be aware that they may also be asked to run personal errands.
• Reception duties such as answering the phones and meeting clients
• Managing incoming and outgoing post
• Managing stationery (and other) orders
• Creating reports
• Organising team building / social events
• Marketing support, including management of web content and social media presence
• Supporting the business manager with other tasks as required.

In addition, this role will support the wider legal practice by undertaking various ad-hoc research projects, providing general administrative assistance and potentially some junior paralegal work (with guidance).

This role would be perfect for a motivated and conscientious individual who is perhaps interested in exploring an interest in Law.  Ideally the candidate would live locally to our office based in central Horsham, though this is not essential.

We are looking to offer full-time employment for this role, and the successful candidate would need to be available to start with us on a full-time basis in late March, or early April.
