Our award-winning law firm is expanding our Community Care Law department which is led by Cate Searle.

We specialise in Court of Protection litigation, safeguarding adults at risk, mental capacity and Best Interest decision-making, health and social care funding and commissioning and public law challenges of inadequate health and social care packages.

Our team is recognised in the current Legal 500 in the health law category. In 2016, we won the Law Society Excellence Award in Business Development for our innovative Services for Professional Deputies. We provide case work support in Community Care and Public Law matters to Professional Deputies & Attorneys, Private Client and Personal Injury solicitors across England and Wales.

You will be an experienced, enthusiastic lawyer with strong knowledge of Court of Protection procedure and applying the Mental Capacity Act in practice.

You will have a proven track record of handling Court of Protection litigation casework, whether property and finance or health and welfare, and of conducting your own advocacy in the CoP, at least at Case Management Conference level.

You will have strong analytical skills, enjoy problem solving and will be able to demonstrate experience of supporting vulnerable clients.

This role is mainly based in our Brighton office. Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience.
