Description

Elderly Client Skills Workshop

This training session will be run as a workshop, with a bit of lecture and then case studies to tease out how to handle the following tricky problems:

  • The client who is being subject to duress, undue influence or other abuse
  • The donor who rejects an agreed care package
  • The elderly resident who demands to go home
  • The family who disagree about where Mum should live
  • Running out of money to fund care at home
  • The third party who cannot afford the top up for care

Caroline Bielanska is the former Chief Executive and former Chair of Solicitors for the Elderly, an organisation she helped to found in 1999. She lectures regularly for a number of CPD providers, including Central Law Training, The Solicitors Group, Professional Conferences and STEP, and is well known in her specialist field- advising older and vulnerable adults who have limited physical and/or mental capacity.
