Description

Would you know if a data breach has happened in your office today? Has an email been sent out to the wrong person? Have attachments to emails been sent without them being password protected? Has a secretary given someone some information that they shouldn’t have had? Has someone used another staff members password?

The GDPR came into force seven years ago and tightened up on the way we handle peoples’ data. All seems to have been quiet on the GDPR/DP front recently.  Have we become complacent? Are we still as careful with the data we handle?

The ICO last week issue a law firm with a fine of £60,000 in relation to data breaches and cybercrime where information was found to be on the dark web. Don’t let this happen to you!

This lunchtime one hour webinar will look at the following:

  • What is a personal data breach?
  • What should we do if one occurs?
  • Who do we report to and how long have we got to report?
  • Do we have to tell the client?
  • How can we avoid breaches happening?
  • How much will it costs us if we get it wrong?
