Brighton Pride 2026

What a day!!! 🏳️‍🌈 On Saturday 1st August, we were proud to march alongside members of the Sussex Law Society in the annual Brighton Pride CIC Parade.

As part of the parade, we wanted to celebrate the progress that has been made, while recognising the vital role that the law has played in advancing equality and inclusion. Our slogan for the day was “Love is not a crime”

Our group proudly highlighted some of the landmark legal milestones that have helped shape these rights:

🏳️‍🌈 2003 – Repeal of Section 28
🏳️‍⚧️ 2004 – Gender Recognition Act
⚖️ 2010 – Equality Act
💛 2013 – Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act

These milestones represent significant progress, but they also remind us that the pursuit of equality is ongoing. As legal professionals, we have an important role to play in upholding rights, challenging discrimination, and helping to create a society where everyone can live authentically and with dignity.

Thank you to everyone who marched, supported, and celebrated with us. It was an inspiring day, and we were honoured to stand with our colleagues and the wider community.
